Managing My Banyan Account

Can I try My Banyan for free?

Yes. You can try all the features of My Banyan free for 21 days.

Does My Banyan have a monthly or annual subscription?

My Banyan offers annual and multi-year membership rates. We do not offer a monthly payment option.

How does billing work?

Billing is done through STRIPE when you are securely logged in to My Banyan. No information about your credit card is kept at My Banyan.

Does My Banyan offer a discount for veterans, current members of the military, and first responders?

Yes. We offer a discount for veterans, current members of the military, and first responders. For pricing, please visit our pricing page.

If I die or become incapacitated, who can access My Banyan account?

Only your trusted advisors or family members can access your account, and only if you have allowed them before anything happens.

If I do not renew my account what happens to the information I have entered?

Your information is kept safe and secure for 60 days. If you do not renew your subscription before the 60 days are over, your information will be deleted.

Can I cancel my account?

Yes, you can cancel the account online in your account settings.

Using My Banyan

What Browser can I use with My Banyan?

We recommend Chrome, Safari or Firefox.

Can I use my smart phone or tablet to do the same as I do on the desktop version?

Yes. But using your desktop or laptop computer will make your work much easier when you want to upload files and enter a lot of information.

What information in My Banyan can I share?

You can share any file or information that you enter into My Banyan with your designated Inner Circle.

How do I access My Banyan

There are two ways - using your browser enter app.mybanyanlife.com and click Sign In from your computer, tablet, or smart phone or creating a bookmark to go directly to My Banyan.

Can I use My Banyan for my business?

Yes. My Banyan also includes a business section where you can store and share information from agreements and stocks to business insurance.

Is there a limit to how many documents I can upload?

There is no limit on how many documents you can upload to My Banyan.

Can I upload any file type?

Yes. You can upload Word documents, Excel documents, PDFs, jpgs, movies and audio files.

Can I print from My Banyan?

Yes. You can print reports from My Banyan.

What is the difference between My Banyan and free storage cloud services such as Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft One Drive, iDrive, and others?

The services are a static container and cloud storage system and don't allow the sharing of files. These services are not meant for reminding you of keeping your information current as changes occur in your life.

You can trust My Banyan with your most confidential information; we take that trust seriously. Very seriously. The protection of your privacy and information is our first priority. To keep your information, secure My Banyan uses the industry’s most sophisticated encrypted servers. The only people who see your information are you, and those whom you designate. My Banyan operates under the same security and privacy frameworks as major financial institutions and healthcare companies.

Does My Banyan use two-step verification?

Yes, two-step verification is standard security with My Banyan. When you sign in, 2-Step verification ensures your personal information stays private, safe and secure. In addition to your password, 2-Step verification adds a quick second step to verify that it's you. 2-Step verification is a proven way to prevent widespread cyber attacks and keep your information secure.

Where is my information stored?

All your information is stored in the cloud on a secure AWS (Amazon Web Services) platform.

Do you share my personal information?

No – We do not sell or share your information with anyone.

Who has access to my information stored in My Banyan?

Your information is encrypted on our AWS servers and there is no way for us, or anyone, to read or access your information.
